Rafael Freire Neto (CSA-TUCA) visits the Stiftung Arbeit und Umwelt der IGBCE

On Monday, May 9th, 2022, Rafael Freire Neto, Secretary General of the Confederación Sindical de trabajadores y trabajadoras de las Américas (CSA-TUCA), visited the Stiftung Arbeit und Umwelt der IGBCE in Inselstraße in Berlin Mitte. The CSA-TUCA is the regional federation of the International Trade Union Confederation for the entire American continent, representing 55 million colleagues from Canada to Argentina. It is headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The joint discussion with representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Hans Böckler Foundation focused on the topics of digitalization and platform economy as well as the different trade union strategies to keep pace with the new political topics and circumstances in the course of changes in the labor market. The head of the FES office in Uruguay, Dörte Wollrath, reported on the local projects on the subject of work and trade unions. The CSA also cooperates with the DGB Bildungswerk on the topic of supply chain responsibility in Brazil.
