Zukunftsperspektiven Transformation: Rohstofflage in den IGBCE-Branchen – eine Vorschau
Der russische Angriffskrieg auf die Ukraine hat uns in Deutschland in eine neue energiepolitische Lage versetzt. Nach Jahrzehnten verlässlicher Energieversorgung mit günstigen Beschaffungspreisen befindet sich Deutschland – insbesondere bei der Gasversorgung – in einer neuen Phase der Energiebeschaffung, die möglicherweise mittelfristig ein neues Geschäftsmodell der heimischen Industrie verlangt. Nicht nur beim Gas, sondern auch bei strategischen Rohstoffen, die für die Energiewende, die Elektromobilität und auch für klimaneutrale Formen chemischer Produktion von Bedeutung sind, können immer mehr Abhängigkeiten von einzelnen Akteuren beobachtet werden. Die Stiftung Arbeit und Umwelt hat sich daher mit den zentralen Rohstoffen der IGBCE-Branchen Chemie, Bergbau, Energie und Halbleiterindustrie auseinandergesetzt und folgende Aspekte untersucht bzw. Indexwerte herangezogen:
- Importabhängigkeitsquoten von Rohstoffen
- Ersetzbarkeitsindex – welche Alternativen können eingesetzt werden?
- End-of-Life-Recycling-Einsatzquote – können Altrohstoffe in den Kreislauf zurückgeführt werden?
- Förderquoten und Verfügbarkeiten – wie lange können wir Rohstoffe bei der aktuellen Produktionsmenge fördern?
Die Ergebnisse wurden in den sogenannten Rohstoffsteckbriefen zusammengefasst, die im kommenden Februar vorgestellt werden sollen. Neben zentralen Rohstoffgruppen wird es spezifische Rubriken für Seltene Erden und Platingruppen geben, welche die Untersuchung komplettieren. Eine erste Branchenübersicht und ein beispielhafter Rohstoffsteckbrief lassen sich jetzt schon hier abrufen.
